Hotter Porsche 718 Boxster, Cayman GTS Models Coming Soon

Porsche is getting ready to expand its 718 lineup with the addition of high-performance GTS models.

Our spy photographers caught the new 718 Boxster GTS out testing, sporting camouflage on the front bumper along with a new spoiler lip. As this will be a more hardcore performance version, you can expect the suspension to be stiffer and a lower ride for the car while unique wheels and a sports exhaust will really help the GTS stand out.

The same turbocharged four-cylinder engine is expected under the hood with a power bump somewhere north of 15 horsepower, the current differential when jumping from S up to the GTS model. That will put the new GTS somewhere around 375 horsepower. Both a PDK automatic and a manual transmission are expected to be offered.

When a revised GT4 model arrives based on the updated 718 Cayman and Boxster, it is expected to keep its naturally aspirated inline six-cylinder engine.

The Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster GTS should hit the market in the second half of 2017.

thats a pretty quick rollout and add to the 718 version's model selection. Though 6 months + time per each country ........ Personally just didn't like the 718 iteration and short ownership for testing. Needs some serious work on the acoustics and/or add an after market option. Sound with style not sound with a tacky note The GTS may address one of the quibbles

Most buyers just don't care as much about engine sound/exhaust note as the purists do. It's important, but I care far more about performance and the 718 is, undeniably, the best performing Boxter/Cayman ever. This is evidenced by the fact that the new sound certainly hasn't hurt sales at all. The GTS will have a new exhaust, but that alone won't satisfy purists. If it's that important to you, just wait for the 718 GT4/Spyder release in 2019, as it will reprise the flat 6...and you'll pay dearly for it too. Personally, I'll be getting a 718 Cayman GTS.

After 5 yrs I decided to abandon my last job and that decision was a life-changer for me... I started doing a job over internet, for a company I found online, for several hours every day, and I earn much more than i did on my last job... Pay-check i got for last month was for 9k... The best thing about this work is that i have more time for my loved ones... SECURE38.COM
