Proof a New Porsche 911 Speedster is on the Way
Late last year, a report surfaced indicating Porsche was set to introduce a new 991.2-based 911 Speedster at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Obviously that never happened, so we figured it was just bad intel. It turns out Porsche was indeed working on a new Speedster, it just wasn’t ready to make its debut last autumn.
A prototype for the new 911 Speedster was caught testing in Germany this week, giving us our first piece of proof that a new Speedster is on the way. The test car was spotted with a somewhat hobbled together soft top roof on, so we, unfortunately, will have to wait a little longer to see what looks like with the top down.

We hear the new 911 Speedster will share many components with the 911 Carrera GTS. That includes the 3.0-liter turbocharged engine, which should be making around 450 hp in the application. Pricing for the Speedster will be high, production will be limited, and it may even be the last of the 991 911 model variants to arrive.
The Porsche 911 Speedster will debut sometime later this – perhaps at the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show.

That's another for Porsche something most can't have. I enjoy my 991.2 but I find Porsche a real pain.
Who cares. They're all sold out anyway.
