Vastly Improved 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is $100 Cheaper

The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is expected to arrive dealerships in the U.S. in the second quarter of 2018.

The all-new Volkswagen Jetta rides on the German automaker’s MQB platform, offering a bolder design, more interior space, and new technology. It will be available in five trim levels, with the standard S model priced from $19,395 including destination. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta S features a standard six-speed manual transmission, 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, standard LED headlights and tail lights, chrome grille, multi-function steering wheel, rearview camera, automatic headlights, electric parking brake, cloth seats, and more. Opting for an eight-speed automatic transmission adds $800, while a Driver’s Assistance Package is available for $450 that includes Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, along with Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert and heated side mirrors.

The Jetta SE builds off the base model, starting from $23,005 and comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include 16-inch “Rama Black” aluminum-alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, keyless access and push-button start, leatherette seating surfaces, and heated front seats. A Cold Weather Package is available for the SE trim, priced at $495 and adds a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, heated windshield wiper park and washer nozzles, and remote start.

The sporty R-Line trim starts from $23,845 and adds standard 17-inch dark grey “Trenton” wheels, a gloss black front grille, R-Line rear bumper with dual exhaust, fog lights, black mirror caps, R-Line badging inside and out, black roof liner, R-Line multi-function steering wheel with contrast stitching, two-tone black and grey seating surfaces with contrast stitching, and the XDS electronic differential. The Cold Weather Package is also available for the R-Line model.

Next up in the lineup is the Jetta SEL with a starting price of $25,265. It builds off the SE trim and adds LED project headlights with signature LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rearview mirror, Drive Mode Selection, 10-color customizable wrap-around ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch Volkswagen Digital Cockpit display, Volkswagen Car-Net connected vehicles services, 400-watt BeatsAudio system with eight speakers and a subwoofer, and an eight-inch Composition Media touchscreen infotainment system.

At the top of the range is the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta SEL Premium, starting at $27,795. Building off the SEL trim, the Premium model adds 17-inch two-tone “Tornado Metallic” wheels, R-Line rear bumper, fog lights, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, sport comfort seats, leather seating surfaces, ventilated front seats, power driver’s seat with memory functionality and power lumbar, eight-inch Discover Media infotainment system with navigation and alarm system, as well as a standard Cold Weather Package.
