Porsche Begins Early Testing for Next-Generation 911 Turbo
Porsche is wasting no time developing its next-generation 911 models.
Spy photographers have already caught the 992-generation Carrera and Carrera S models testing in production body, both in coupe and convertible versions. Now, the German automaker is using an early mule to test the next-generation 911 Turbo.
Based on the mule, it appears Porsche will make the 911 Turbo even wider than the current version. Since the mule isn’t heading to the race track for testing, it’s likely Porsche is using it to fine tune the new platform, suspension parts and engines for the next Turbo model.

Since the body is getting wider, we can expect to see an increase in performance. The big question is whether Porsche will finally tip the 911 Turbo over the 600-horsepower mark.
Don’t expect to see a full-body prototype for a few months, but our spy photographers will definitely stay hot on Porsche’s heels.
