HYUNDAI RETURNS TO SUPER BOWL ADVERTISING AND WILL SHOOT ITS SPOT DURING THE GAME

Hyundai is taking a unique approach to its Super Bowl commercial this year by shooting it during the big game.

The brand’s 90-second ad will run immediately after the game ends, before the trophy is handed out. Details on exactly what will be captured for the spot haven’t been unveiled, with Hyundai saying that its ad will capture “some of the best off-the-field Super Bowl moments.”

Hyundai will tease the ad this weekend during the AFC and NFC championship games, likely giving away some of the details on what we can expect. These spots will feature former NFL players Joe Montana and Mike Singletary.

Hyundai claims that the entire spot will be created from footage gathered during the game. “Our brand commitment is to make things ‘better’ and we are going to give some deserving fans an experience they will never forget,”said Dean Evans, chief marketing officer for Hyundai Motor America. The spot will be directed by Peter Berg, from Patriots Day and Deepwater Horizon fame.
