The stunning Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato now has a droptop variant.

Making its debut during 2016 Monterey Car Week, the British automaker said the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante is the result of overwhelming customer interest for the previously revealed coupe. The company is also showing off the coupe model at this year’s event, although the convertible is the star of the show since it’s celebrating its premiere.

The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante Convertible will be limited to 99 units and will be built at the automaker’s headquarters in Gaydon, England. It will be powered by a V12 engine with 592 horsepower that helps give the convertible a projected zero-to-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds.

2016 Monterey Car Week Coverage

The Vanquish Zagato Volante shares its proportions with the coupe, with the twin cowls on the rear deck blending into the leading edge of the luggage compartment, where the bespoke folding roof is stored.

Deliveries of the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante will begin next year.

“Just like the Coupe, we have emphasized the way surfaces change and intersect to create a muscular form. We’ve endeavoured to create an elegant, flowing shape that really works to emphasise the car’s sculpted rear haunches” says Aston Martin’s EVP and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman.
