Jaguar Land Rover‘s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division is off to a hot start.

Launched in 2014, numerous custom vehicles have come from SVO including SVR versions of the Jaguar F-Type and Range Rover Sport. The division also created the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 and now we can expect even more as Jaguar Land Rover plans to add another 250 employees this year. Currently, SVO has around 1,000 employees and adding new jobs will support its growth strategy. The British automaker has also dedicated about $26 million into SVO as part of its overall $40-million investment into its new headquarters.

In the immediate future, SVO has a goal of launching a new car every year on average through 2020, and all the new vehicles will be developed in the new SVO Technical Center at Oxford Road in Coventry.

“The team is energetic, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial. They are the principal reason that we have made a strong start in business since 2014. Now we have new facilities, technologies, products, and services in place to exceed the demands of our most discerning customers all over the world. I look forward to strengthening our team and delivering on this fantastic opportunity,” said John Edwards, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations Managing Director.
