As if the Ram Rebel wasn’t already tough looking, Mopar has gone to work on the truck and released a new special edition.

The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel is outfitted with a selection of performance parts and accessories from Mopar and only 500 of them will be built. A limited-edition Mopar vehicle is built every year and this is the first time it has been a truck.

Color options for this special edition are limited to red and black two-tone or black monotone. Upgrades include aluminum trim, a dual-bezel sport performance hood with a matte-black graphic, larger wheel flares and a blue- and black-graphic stripe.

To make sure the truck is protected, a skid plate to guard the power steering box has been fitted along with a front bumper skid plate. Door sill guards, a glove box badge and 17-inch blacked out wheels finish off the package.

Under the hood is a familiar 5.7-liter HEMI V8 hooked to an eight-speed transmission.

All 500 customers who buy one of these trucks will get a special limited-edition Mopar kit that includes Mopar ’16 merchandise, a brochure and a metal birth certificate that lists truck specifications.

Opting for a Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel will cost $52,460. Deliveries will begin this summer.
