The 2018 Bentley Continental GT is undergoing winter testing in Sweden.

Spied by AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers, the new Bentley Continental GT is basically camouflaged with a plastic body over its real body, but we can still get a real good look at its lines and overall design. It appears that it will be influenced by the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept and our spy photographers noted that there looks to be a retractable roof spoiler on the prototype.

The 2018 Bentley Continental GT will ride on the new MSB platform that is also shared with the next-generation Porsche Panamera, allowing the British automaker to take advantage of Porsche’s hybrid powertrains.

Expect the 600-horsepower W12 engine to carryover to the new model while the standard Continental will be powered by a 4.0-liter V8. The lineup will also gain a plug-in hybrid variant that will be borrowed from the Porsche Panamera and Cayenne, but will most likely be updated to the latest standards when the luxury sports coupe debuts in late 2017. The coupe will also shed quite a bit of weight thanks to the new platform, which takes advantage of high-strength steel and aluminum. It will also underpin the next-generation Flying Spur.
