There's New Hope That Lamborghini Will Build the Egoista
The Lamborghini Egoista, a single seat concept car, might actually become a reality.
The Italian automaker has filed a trademark to protect Egoista, hinting that it might show up on a production model. The name was filed under a number of different categories, including “vehicles and conveyances,” but also for merchandise such as clothing and toys.
The crazy supercar is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 that makes 600 horsepower and features a design inspired by an Apache attack helicopter. The single seat is placed in the center of the car while the entire cockpit is made from aluminum and carbon fiber.
Egoista directly translates to English as “selfish,” playing on the singular, driver focused nature of this machine.
So will the Egoista actually be built? When it was first revealed, the company called it “a gift from Lamborghini to Lamborghini… which no one can ever possess,” suggesting that the car would forever remain a dream.
With this new trademark filing, there is new hope that this wicked Lamborghini might see the light of day, although trademarks of new car names often leads to nothing.
