Abarth 695 Biposto Record is Bonkers and You Know You Want One

Say hello to the 2,200-pound Abarth 695 biposto Record.

The latest limited edition version of the Abarth 695 biposto has been revealed, powered by a 1.4-liter Turbo T-Jet engine churning 190 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque like other Abarth 695 biposto models. The Record, however, weighs a scant 2,200 pounds giving it the best power-to-weight ratio in its class. In addition, it has a zero-to-62-mph time of 5.9 seconds, which Abarth claims is also fastest in its category.

Limited to 133 units worldwide, which represents the number of records held by Abarth, the 695 biposto Record won’t be easy to come across. It will be available in an exclusive Modena Yellow finish accented by Tar Cold Grey trim and will feature enamelled “695 Record” badges on the side and aluminum hood. Other features on the special edition model include 18-inch OZ wheels, large Brembo brakes and an Akrapovic exhaust system. On the inside, Abarth has outfitted it with special instrument panel animation, Sabelt carbon shell seats, four-point seat belts, a cargo net and a unique numbered plate.

The model also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the day when Carlo Abarth broke a new acceleration record in a Class G car at the Monza race track in October 1965.
