2017 Fiat 124 Spider Video, First Look

If the Mazda MX-5 Miata’s styling doesn’t strike your fancy, perhaps the Fiat 124 Spider’s design does.

Returning nearly 50 years after its original introduction, the Fiat 124 Spider’s nameplate has been revived thanks to a relationship with Mazda. The new convertible sports car shares its platform with the MX-5 Miata but with the Italian automaker’s styling and powerplant. Under the hood is a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo four-cylinder engine with 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, similar to what is found in other Fiat and Abarth models but setup for a rear-wheel-drive application.

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider will arrive U.S. dealerships in summer 2016 and will be offered with either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. Find out more about the Fiat 124 Spider by watching our first look video below.
