Don’t expect Ferrari’s range-topping engines to receive turbochargers anytime soon.

According to a recent report from Autocar, the Italian automaker is sticking to naturally-aspirated V12s for the foreseeable future, but does intend to use 48-volt systems to electrify them for its next generation of supercar.

Earlier this month at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari unveiled the 488 GTB, which is the 458 Italia with turbo power, stirring speculation that Ferrari would turn to forced induction for its other powerplants.

That won’t be the case at least for now, as Ferrari’s V12 engines will benefit from mild hybrid technology, similar to what is found on the LaFerrari supercar. This also means that Ferrari will likely keep hybrid technology away from its V8s, opting for turbocharged power instead.

Other automakers are turning to hybrid technology to boost low-end performance in their exotics, including the McLaren P1.
