2015 Lincoln Navigator Priced From $62,475

Body-on-frame luxury SUVs are few and far between these days, but Lincoln is still in the segment with the redesigned 2015 Navigator, which will sell for a base price of $62,475.

The biggest change for the Navigator this year comes under the hood as power now exclusively comes from the twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that makes 380 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. It is hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Other enhancements include the addition of Lincoln Ride Control which uses continuously controlled damping suspension to provide a smooth ride, though it is only standard on 4×4 models or models fit with 22-inch wheels. Those four-wheel drive models also get hill start assist and hill decent control as standard equipment.

On the outside, the Navigator has been given a facelift which includes the brand’s staple split-wing grille. The big SUV also gets Lincoln ‘welcome mats,’ essentially Lincoln symbols which are projected onto the ground right in front of the front doors.

For customers who want more luxury, Lincoln is offering the Navigator Reserve Package which starts at $69,975 for 4×2 models, while 4×4 Reserve Package models start at $72,900. For that price bump you get Lincoln Drive Control, 22-inch polished aluminum wheels and a leather-wrapped interior with wood accents.

There is also a long wheelbase ‘L’ model available, which has a 131-inch wheelbase compared to the 119-inch standard wheelbase. This long model comes standard with a 4.10 non-limited slip rear axle, and sells for $64,640 for the 4×2 version and $68,215 for the 4×4 version.

When compared to its main rival, the Cadillac Escalade, the Navigator is quite the bargain. A base Escalade will sell for $72,690, just about $300 cheaper than a fully loaded Navigator Reserve Package with four-wheel drive. At the base end, there is $10,000 gap between these two vehicles, with the Navigator being far cheaper.
