At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Ferrari unveiled its 458 Speciale with 605 hp and improved aerodynamics.

But as with all cars at auto shows, it could only be admired while it silently sat still. Luckily, Ferrari has released a video showcasing its hardcore variant of the 458 and you can not only see it in action, but listen to its sonorous engine.

Ferrari claims that the 458 Speciale goes 0-62 mph in three seconds and has clocked a lap time of 1:23.5 at the automaker’s Fiorano Circuit. In addition to the improved aerodynamics and 35-hp bump, the 458 Speciale also features specially-designed tires from Michelin. In addition, there’s the “Side Slip Angle Control System” that Ferrari has invented, devised to compare slip against a theoretical limit to determine exactly how far the exotic can be pushed.

U.S. delivery on the Ferrari 458 Speciale begins in Spring 2014.
