Abarth 595 50th Anniversary Revealed Ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show Debut

The most powerful Abarth 595 ever will be will be heading to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Abarth 595 50th Anniversary features a 1.4-liter T-Jet engine with 180 horsepower and celebrates 50 years since Abarth first presented the 595 at the 1963 Turin Motor Show. The 595 50th Anniversary model will be limited to just 299 units and features a livery with historical Abarth logos and the original Fiat Abarth 595 graphics.

With its 180-horsepower engine mated to the Abarth Competizione gearbox, the Abarth 595 50th Anniversary is the most powerful 595 ever produced. 17-inch wheels are accented by a red stripe while Brembo give the Abarth 595 impressive braking performance. There is, of course, the Record Monza dual mode exhaust system.

In addition to the unique livery on the Abarth 595 50th Anniversary is a matte, three-layer white paint job that is a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1963 model. The new Abarth also adapts Xenon headlights while the sun roof completes the tribute to the original car.

Inside, the Abarth 595 50th Anniversary features red leather sports seats with white inserts and red stitching are also a modern reinterpretation of the original Abarth 595.
