Though not scheduled to make its public debut for several more months, images of the 2014 Audi RS6 Avant have leaked onto the internet, revealing the German automaker’s latest addition to its wagon lineup.

Unfortunately as with most leaks, details are scarce on the 2014 RS6 Avant, but we do see a V8 TFSI powerplant in the engine bay, rather than the previous-generation’s twin-turbo V10. Power output for the 2014 RS6 Avant is expected to be around 550 hp and should come thanks to a 4.0-liter V8 turbocharged engine. The downsizing of the engine will undoubtedly increase fuel efficiency compared to the predecessor’s V10.

The V8 is believed to be mated to a new S tronic, seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission and of course the wagon will feature Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive.
