The Mclaren MP4-12C Spider debuted last week, and now the company has dropped the first video of the Spider out for a cruise.

The video showcases the car’s F1 roots and its racing prowess on the track. Also highlighted is the 17 seconds it takes for the car to go from coupe to roadster, which can be performed at any speed below 19 mph.

Using the same 616 hp twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 and based on the same carbon monocell chassis as the coupe, the 12C Spider weighs roughly 150 lbs more than the hard top, tipping the scales at 3,033 lbs in its dry weight form or 3,249 ready-to-roll.

Launched with a new color, Volcano Red, the car will also be available in Volcano yellow, and offer new interior trims.

Priced at $265,750, the first deliveries are planned for late December to early January.
