Fiat’s latest commercial, “Immigrants,” gives a cinematic portrayal of the 500 making its journey from Italy to the U.S., but as anyone who watched it will know, several cars were apparently sacrificed in the process.

Just like a slasher flick, you might have assumed that it was all camera tricks and computer imaging, but Fiat says otherwise and has the photos to prove it. A total of six cars were sacrificed during the commercial’s filming.

Some were pulled in and out of the water by boats, tractors and tow trucks, but the Abarth actually dove into the water with a stunt man at the wheel.
