The Maserati SUV lineup is growing with the introduction of the newest member of the family, the Grecale.

Maserati has plans to introduce a second SUV by 2020, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne revealed in a recent interview.

The new 2017 Maserati Levante has been revealed early before the sheet is officially pulled off at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. 

Most automakers strive to sell as many vehicles as they possibly can in a year, but that isn’t the case at Maserati. 

Maserati plans to begin production of its upcoming luxury SUV, called the Levante, sometime in 2015 according to Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne. 

Despite previous reports that the Maserati Levante SUV would be based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Italian automaker has confirmed that it won’t be.

It’s been well documented that when the Maserati SUV finally hits production form, it would no longer be called the Kubang. But confirmation from Maserati’s director of product planning has reconfirmed that the Kubang is simply applied only to the SUV’s concept.

This years Beijing Auto Show marks the final stop for the Maserati Kubang SUV concept, as the next time we see the Maserati SUV, it will be in production form.
