Ken Block is going compete in a number of stage rally races with his Ford Escort Cosworth restomod racecar in 2018.

Block debuted the Escort Cosworth-based rally car last year, but at the time, it wasn’t entirely clear just what his plans were for the 1990s rally racer. Today Kenny announced he’ll be taking it to four stage rally races in 2018, including the Oregon Trail Rally, New England Forest Rally and the Idaho Rally International.

In addition to stage rally races in the Cossie, Block will contest a single round of the World Rally Championship in Spain. He’ll be at the wheel of a 2017 Ford Fiesta RS WRC prepared by the racing wizards at M-Sport for that race. Block knows the WRC is wildly competitive and has humble prospects for the race, which he’ll have little time to prepare for.

“It takes a huge amount of effort and training to race in the WRC,” said Block. “but I’ll be cramming that into a short period of testing beforehand. It’s not really enough time in the car to properly prepare for a WRC attack, but I’ll take what I can get!”

Ever the busy man, Block will also race select rallycross events and one World RX event at Circuit of the Americas in a Focus RS RX. Rounding out his race plans for the year are two Gymkhana GRID events, although he has yet to see which of them he will appear at.

Then there’s the next installment of the Gymkhana video series, GykhanaTEN, which will drop during Q4 of this year. An eight-part documentary called The Gymkhana Files will also appear on Amazon Prime in Q4 2018, giving Block fans a behind-the-scenes look at the video series. Block also promises us that a handful of original content projects for Hoonigan’s YouTube channel are on the horizon as well.

2018 is certainly an exciting time to be a Ken Block fan.
